Kakku
To get to Kakku you need a permit that only is given when you also hire a Pa-o guide who speaks the local language and english. What happens if you claim to speak Pa-o I do not know. All the stupas were build because on a regular base sparklings of lights were observed here at night. As there was not found an explination for these occurenses people build stupas in different styles. There are more of such places. The Pa-o girl you see on the picture and who was my guide told me in her native town there also was a place like this. Due to landsliding recently a big Buddha came half out of the soil. The surroundings of Kakku is still off-limit to foreigners, the reason I have been told several days later is that it still is opium country.Pa-o are descendants of dragons. The fire-like turband the women wear reminds their off-spring.
