Bagan
  One of the most popular sites to visit when you are in Burma is the archelogical site of Bagan. In the twelfth century many pagodas where built and the city was named the city of four million pagodas. Nowadays there are a lot less but still enough you cannot visit them all during a 28 day stay. Many of the ancient buildings are being restaurated. The restaurationsmake Bagan less beautiful. A lot of newly build stupas with new bricks are to be seen.Until recently the cement used was a modern sort which was ouite easily spotted and did not beautify the old buildings. A lot of asphalt roads have replaced the old sand roads.  
 
 
 
All of the temples have their own festivals where people come to bring donations
