Bagan
One of the most popular sites to visit when you are in Burma is the archelogical site of Bagan. In the twelfth century many pagodas where built and the city was named the city of four million pagodas. Nowadays there are a lot less but still enough. You have a hard job visiting them all during your stay. Many of the ancient buildings are being restorated. The restorations make Bagan less beautiful. A lot of newly build stupas with new bricks are to be seen.Until recently the concrete used was a modern sort which was quite easily spotted and did not beautify the old buildings. A lot of asphalt roads have replaced the old sand roads.
